Do you got a big toy you got a big trailer you need to tow it? Today on the enhance your ride we're talking heavy towing.
When it comes to heavy towing it's not really defined but my personal opinion there's three ways to get it done. Option one the gooseneck a really cool thing about a gooseneck is you can tow it normos amounts of weight because it puts all the weight right on the axle. It's called a gooseneck because it comes up and turns and goes into the bed like a gooseneck so the trailer sits on the ball.
There's a variety of options when it comes to pulling a gooseneck but my opinion B&W stands above the rest. The first time I saw the turnover bow I thought it was really cool because the old ones they were just there and now the new and it flips over. It's out of the way yeah it's full bed space you know pull the lever drop the ball in called 11 pull the ball out.
Before you can pull the gooseneck you got to have a few bed modifications. The gooseneck goes below the bed and then you have to put a 4-inch hole in the bed. For the hand for the ball to comes they're gonna have to have four smalls where you save your changes guys.
We have some pretty much sums up against me option two fifth wheel. It's pretty much the same thing as a gooseneck. The only difference is it puts the fifth wheel comes up higher it allows you to tow campers but fifth wheel has a kingpin where it actually slides into the fifth wheel. Just like a big rig either way you're gonna modify your bed you're gonna put holes in the bed for reducing that corner.
Fifth wheel actually fifth wheel rails are sitting inside the bed correct and they have plates. You go on the side to frame you do drill holes in which is drilling through you just do a small holes. Where you put your bolts in to hold the rails in place and then you.
Fifth wheel has two more rails that come up and in the head sits on that. If you need to tow something in your bed of your truck and you're not pulling a camper you can just take the fifth wheel out. It just pins in and comes out the rails will still be there so you still got some obstruction in your bed option three companion.
If you all heavy loads on a daily basis but you got a camper for the weekend. You don't want to buy another truck. There's only one option being w companion.
I don't think they're only one that makes it I just think they make the best water that's one. One we that we install I've actually never seen anybody else make one the painting is really simple. You pull the ball out of your gooseneck the companion drops right down into it latches with the same latch and you're done. All you're doing is turning your gooseneck into a fifth wheel. With no modification you have to have a gooseneck to run the companion but that's how you get the best of both worlds.
You already got a gooseneck the companion bolts together sits over here in the shelf until you need it these are driving. If you're in the market to do some towing business just come see me plants a touch. I really enjoy doing these so I really need to know what you want me to talk about so in the comments below tell me what you want to.
