How to Use Polymer Clay & Craft Oven for the First Time
READ FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS; How to use your Polymer Clay & Craft Oven for the very first time! :) It's by AMACO incase anyone is trying to make sure they have the same oven as me.
The way you'd use this oven is the same as any other type of oven.
How to Use Your Oven and What may Occur when Using it:
1.) Use only the handles and knobs when the oven is on.
2.) Don't let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
3.) If the cord or plug is damaged or the oven has malfunctioned, DON'T TRY AND USE THE OVEN.
4.) When opertaing the oven, keep at least 6-8 inches of space on all sides of the oven to allow adequet air circulation.
5.) Make sure the surface you're using your oven can withstand extreme heat.
6.) Unplug from outlet when it's not in use or before cleaning. Allow it to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
7.) To disconnect your oven, turn the knob to OFF and then remove from the outlet by holding the plug, not pulling the cord.
8.) Don't put foil in the oven AT ALL. Don't cover the rack with foil, don't bake anything with foil inside the oven. It will make your oven overheat.
9.) Do NOT clean your oven with metal scouring pads. Pieces of the pad can break off and touch the electrical parts, creating a risk of an electric shock.
10.) Oversized items or metal utensils NEVER go inside the oven.
11.) When using the oven, don't let anything touch the oven and don't store anything on top of the oven while using it.
12.) NO cardboard, plastic, paper, or any other flammable items go inside the oven.
13.) Don't store ANYTHING in the oven, even if it's OFF.
14.) Don't use outdoors (obviously)
15.) Don't use the oven for any other intended use. In other words, if you've baked clay in your oven, don't then cook food in the oven. The clay or whatever craft item you baked could have released toxins that could go into your food if you bake it in the same oven.
16. ) Make sure the surface you are using to place the oven while baking is level and dry.
17.) Don't touch the glass, sides, or top when in use.
18.) Use Teflon Sheet or Parchment paper to set your craft item(s) on. It's recommended not to place the object directly on the rack.
19.) Try not to open the oven when using it, it will cause heat to escape and your item won't bake at it's appropriate temperature.
20.) Carefully read the baking instructions on your given craft item.
21.) Test your timer and get familiar with it before you bake anything so that you don't burn whatever it is that you're trying to bake.
22.) If you're baking more than one item, make sure they are all atleast the same size.
